  • Ask how long they have been in business or have worked in the industry

  • If possible, get 3 quotes that include the following:

    • Itemized Labor Costs

    • Parts and Materials

    • Is there a service/trip/toll fee

    • Permit Fees (if needed)

    • Timeline – Estimated start date and completion date

    • Verify the length of time the quote is good before a new quote is required

  • Don’t always go with the lowest bidder automatically.  You should base your decision on the experience and reputation of the electrician.
